Yes this is possible. STEP 1: Ubunutu supports Remote Desktop sessions by default. Visit this page https://help.ubuntu.com/stable/ubuntu-help/sharing-desktop.html.de to install GNOME Remote Desktop first on your Ubuntu machine. Follow the instruction and enable Remote Desktop Support in the Ubuntu settings.
