netFIELD Device - IO-Link with Real-Time Ethernet

netFIELD Device is part of the comprehensive netFIELD product family and provides an optimized technology platform and software ecosystem for IO-Link Devices with Real-Time Ethernet. With the ready-to-use IP67 device it is optimized for brand labeling.

The netFIELD Device technology platform integrates wireless and wired sensors and actuators with modern real-time Ethernet networks. This enables plant operators and machine builders to equip their devices with industrial sensors and to integrate them easily and reliably into industrial networks. As part of the technology platform Hilscher combines established netX 90 technology with Hilscher’s new netIOL chip – an intelligent IO-Link transceiver with additional diagnostic features to detect plant errors, e.g. voltages and currents from each IO-Link pin, on-chip temperature and supply voltage. Via the integrated webserver, important functionalities like firmware download, authentification and IO-Link port configuration are possible In addition, for digital inputs an adjustable input filter for 3, 15 or 20ms can be used. Configuration and network diagnostics are carried out via an integrated OPC UA server with IO-Link Companion profile. In addition, powerful IO-Link transceivers with extended diagnostic functionality are used to detect system faults.

With netFIELD Device technology platform, customers profit from the entire Hilscher ecosystem with regular pre-qualified firmware updates, pre-certified protocol stacks and optional workshops and software modifications.
