Which Linux driver version do i need to use M.2 netX 90 based CIFX cards? |
A |
To use netX 90 based CIFX Cards using Linux, a Linux driver with version V2.0.0.0 or later is needed. When using V2.0.0.0 or V2.0.1.0, the kernel modules provided in the Download Area on the Hilscher Knowledge Base need to be installed additionally. For Version V2.0.1.0 for example, these files are provided: also see: V2.0.1.0 (NXDRVLINUX) These enable the access to the M.2 CIFX via PCI Interface. BackgroundSince the netX 90 uses SPI, the M.2 CIFX Card uses an SPI to PCI converter. Therefore an An additional Kernel module is needed for additional functions of the driver. Therefore a different kernel module for the M.2 cards is needed, than for the "old" CifX cards with a different netX inside. |
