Description
The following describes how to transfer the configuration data of your CIFX card from one computer to another.
Copy Firmware and Configuration
On your old computer, please save the folders Channel 0-5 from "C: / Program Files / cifX Device Driver".
The name of the folder in which they are stored is composed of the articlenumber_serial number of the relevant CIFX card.
If the rotary switch (for choosing a slot) is used, please secure the slot set.
Download Firmware and Configuration
Since entries must be made in the Restistry, the files can not simply be copied to the new computer.
Please use the tool Hilscher CIFX Setup. You can find this in the Control Panel or in folder:
C: \ Program Files \ cifX Device Driver \ cifXSetup.exe
Please use this tool to create the file structure with the backed up files for all channels (CH #?).
The tool automatically copies the files into the selected channel folder and thus also sets the registry entries.
