netXTransport Wireshark Protocol Plugins

The Hilscher software development has created Wireshark plugins to be able to capture and decode the netXTransport protocol by using the Wireshark network protocol analyzer.
This should help to find issues belonging to the data transfer between two systems using the netXTransport protocol.

 Note: The Wireshark plugins are not an official Hilscher product and therefore not officially supported. They also offered with NO WARRANTY.

Install the Plugin

Download and unzip the plugins file
You will find a 32Bit and a 64Bit version of the plugins
The filename will be either HilTCPDissector.dll or hiltransport.dll.
Wireshark version 1.x.x
Copy the corresponding dll (32Bit/64Bit) to the Wireshark plugins directory
32Bit version => C:\Program Files(x86)\Wireshark\plugins\
64Bit version => C:\Program Files\Wireshark\plugins\
Wireshark version V3.x.x
A list of available Wireshark directories can be found under Wireshark → Help → About Wireshark → Folders.

Note:
You can place the hilscher DLL in either the "Global Plugins"\epan or "Personal Plugins"\epan subdirectory.
If there is no "epan" subdirectory available, it must be manually created.
