Error Message “WinPcap / Npcap Not installed”

The program reports “Npcap / WinPcap not installed”. What does this mean?

The program uses the WinPcap programming interface (API) for network communication.
If Npcap is not installed or installed without WinPcap compatibility mode, the program cannot access the network interfaces and will display an error message.

How can I fix the problem?

Please install Npcap with the WinPcap compatibility mode enabled.

Procedure

1. Download Npcap:

2. Start the installation.

3. During the installation, make sure to enable the option:
   "Install Npcap in WinPcap API-compatible Mode"

4. Complete the installation.

5. Restart the program afterwards.

Npcap is already installed, but the error still appears

In this case, Npcap was most likely installed without WinPcap compatibility mode.

Procedure

Please run the installation again:

1. Start the Npcap installer again.

2. Enable the option
