V1.1010 Release Notes
Hardware configuration changes (netX 90)
The hardware configuration overlay files have been updated to V1.0.0.7.
The hardware configuration tool has been signed with a certificate to improve trust and validate that it hasn't been tampered with. Please note that hardware configurations created with netX Studio CDT V1.1000 have to be updated (see How to manage hardware configurations when updating the netX Studio CDT?).
Filter out the rejected and obsolete hardware components
Hardware components that are rejected by the Hilscher verification process or are obsolete are never removed from the hardware configuration overlays library, they are simply renamed to Rejected or Obsolete, e.g. Winbond W25Q32FV_Rejected. These components are now filtered out by the hardware configuration editor so that the user sees a clean list with the verified components only that have been tested with a netX evaluation board with recommended settings to ensure the correct hardware configuration:
Find out which are the up-to-date verified components for netX 90 here: Supported hardware components netX 90.
Once a hardware component becomes Rejected or Obsolete in the hardware configuration overlays library, the user will be informed by the following warning messages in the hardware option properties dialog:
Notes
- Filtering is supported by at least the hardware configuration overlay files V1.0.0.7 or later
- Filtering can be disabled from Edit > Preferences > Hardware Configuration > Show hardware components that have 'Obsolete' and 'Rejected' verification status (Not recommended)
Shortcut to check and change the overlay files location
The hardware configuration editor now allows you quickly to check and change the location of the overlay files from the shortcut in the editor's footer:
