Sycon.net

driver selection

In the navigation area, select Settings -> Drivers, then select netX Driver.

Fill in the "Select IP Range"

This window is used to set which IP address or IP addresses (IP range) SYCON.net should use, to connect to a gateway device.

Click the + button to enter the IP address input.

Otherwise, you can select an already defined address range for the selection or define another address range by clicking the + button.

Under IP Address, set the IP start and end address in which the device to be configured, has to be searched.
If you operate your PC on an Ethernet network, make sure that the device can also be reached in the set address range.

Connection

After a download to the device, the IP must be reset = normal behaviour

after downloading a firmware or configuration to the device, it loses its temporary IP address.
This results in the following error message in Sycon.net:

This is normal behavior. After each download, the IP address must be reassigned via NetIdent.

Connect NetTap directly to the network card

Use a network card with a fixed IP address

For configuration, do not use DHCP on your network card.

Network card and NT / NL IP addresses should be on the same subnet

Misc

Restart ODMV3

ODMV3 is an online data manager used by Sycon.net.
