Error Description
If external Hilscher devices via USB or TCP / IP are no longer available, a possible cause may be a faulty operation of the so-called ODMV3 service.
This happens when the connection to the device is "violently" interrupted during a running software session, for example with Sycon.NET. The ODMV3 service loses the access point and can not recover it.
It is therefore essential to avoid disconnecting the USB or network connection during a running software session.
Please close all Hilscher configuration Tools before restarting ODMV3.
Otherwise this could cause issues like freezing software. This could make an complete restart of the PC necessary.
ODMV3 in System Tray
The ODMV3 service is located in the system tray of Windows and is represented by a green PC card.

Here the ODMV3 service can be stopped and restarted.
