Attention

We can only provide limited support for the VxWorks 5x and 6x driver, as we do not have a working VxWorks development environment.
Nevertheless, driver code has been tested on latest VxWorks versions 6.7 and 6.9 successfully.
Due to infrequent update cycles, the drivers software core cifX/netX Toolkit (NXDRV-TKIT) may get outdated soon. To get the latest issues fixed, customers are advised to update the toolkit sources to the latest released version!

    Support for NXSB-PCA or NX-PCA-PCI boards included (PCI-Adapter to a netX DPM)
  • VxWorks 7.0:
    VxBUS Gen2 driver 32/64Bit

Limitations

  • VxWorks 5.x/6.x:
    No 64 bit support
    Only one application can access a card simultaneously

  • VxWorks 7.0:
    Driver only supports netX based PCI and PCIe hardware

Description

The cifX VxWorks driver offers access to the Hilscher netX based hardware (e.g. CIFX50, comX) with the same functional API as the cifX device driver for Windows and offers transparent access to the different devices.
