- create a new Project (Network), in a specific directory:
- Solution will now be shown in the Solution Explorer
- mark the current Network and click Add", to create a new device
- select the CIFX PNS device from the list of Stand-Alone-Slaves. Make sure the selected version does fit to the currently installed Firmwareversion
- the device will now be added to the network in the Solution Explorer. Several configuration options are now available:
- start with the Device Assignment, which is used to Assign the Device to be configured
- select the CIFX Device Driver on top of the upcoming window
- Scan for devices
- select the Device to be configured
- open the general settings, to define the NameOfStation, which is needed for the IO Controller to establish a communication. The NameOfStation has to be equal to the one defined in the IO Controller Configuration
- Open the Module configuration and add the amount of Modules by clicking "add Module"
- The size of each module can be changed by clicking selecting the Module description
- Apply the module configuration. It will appear now be shown in the Module Area in the Solution Explorer
- additional Configurations can be done in the in "Settings → Device". If the communication needs to be started by the application, this can be defined as follows:
