netFIELD Extension for Linux is a lightweight runtime for netFIELD, which can be installed on standard Linux distributions. With netFIELD Extension for Linux, you can onboard your Linux devices to netFIELD Cloud to centrally manage your software deployments. 

(warning) Important note: netFIELD Extension for Linux does not support all device management features, which are e.g. supported by netFIELD OS Edge. Please check the feature comparison at Overview - netFIELD OS Runtime Environments to decide which runtime best suits your needs. 

You can find the installer for netFIELD Extension for Linux on Github under the following URL: https://github.com/hilschernetiotedge/netFIELD-extension-linux . The repository contains a script, which you need to run locally on your Linux device. The README file in the repository contains detailed installation instructions. Please follow the instructions to onboard your Linux device.

Tutorial
