Which communication LEDs must be implemented (are mandatory) to achieve certification

PROFINET:

Signal LED must be available on the case. A red blinking LED must blink 3 time times in 3 seconds = 1 Hz if signaling is forced over DCP. On NXHX90 this is the COM0 LED.

Alternatively, the signalling can be realized over a display or other visual means instead of a LED. In these cases the user application is responible to control the signalling.

EthernetIP:

There are no LEDs mandatory, existing LEDs must be bi-colored (red/green) and named as follows:

Module status LED: “MS”, “Mod”, “Mod Status” or “Module Status”

...

For EtherCAT take the document ETG700ETG7000. EtherCAT has strong rulse for printing lables on the case and necessary LEDs.

...

Use the lable "OUT" for Port 1 together with Lable "LINK/ACTIVITY" or "LINK/ACT" or "L/A" or "LA" and Green LED  (Yellow LED is not used for EtherCAT) The lable need to be close to Port1 or obviously allocated to Port1

According to the EPSG 301 Specification, "each POWERLINK node shall support either 2 LEDS (red ERROR LED and green STATUS LED) or a combination of both using one bicolor (green/red) LED called S/E LED".

The Hilscher LFW uses the netX COM0_Green LED as STATUS LED and the netX COM1_Red LED as ERROR LED. The COM0_Red and COM1_Green LEDs are switched off by the firmware.
