How can I onboard my own Linux device to netFIELD Cloud?

If you want to manage your edge device with netFIELD Cloud, you need to install a netFIELD runtime on your device, so that it can connect to the netFIELD Cloud service. netFIELD offers different types of runtime environments - see Overview - netFIELD OS Runtime Environments for an overview and feature comparison. 

For edge gateways produced by Hilscher, these devices are delivered with a preinstalled netFIELD OS. If you want to onboard another device, you might want to check our netFIELD Extension for Linux.
