Configure cifX as Sercos Slave

Load a cifX firmware on the cifX card. Use the "cifX Driver Setup Utility".

Start Sycon.net. Expand the "Sercos III" and "Gateway /Stand-Alone Slave". Add per drag and drop a "CIFX_RE_S3S_FIXCFG" device to your topology.

Make a right mouse click to the recently added cifX device and select "Configuration" from the context menu. At the first appearing page select the "cifX" card. If no cifX card appears, check the first step adding a firmware.

Nothing more has to be set up. Leave the menu. Now perform a right mouse click on the cifX device again and select "Download" from the context menu.

Acknowledge the appearing dialog box with okay. The firmware will be downloaded and the sercos slave is ready for communication.
