PCAP import "emulates" live capturing form a netANALYZER device. Thus for every netANALYZER Ethernet port (0..3) a PCAP file can be imported as frame stream. PCAP files with netANALYZER link layer contain information about the original netANALYZER reception port during live capturing. Combinations of different file formats on different import ports are possible. For example a netANALYZER link layer PCAP file may be imported to port 0, while an interface of a PCAPNG file could be imported to port 1 and a third PCAP file without netANALYZER link layer could be imported to port 2. It is not necessary to import data to every ports, so individual ports may be blank. |
