Hilscher supports the use of Linux in the field of industrial communication.
And the CIF driver for Linux supports all Hilscher cards with Dual Port Memory Interface like CIF-50 PCI, Compact-PCI, PCMCIA and CIF-30/CIF-104 ISA cards and
with all fieldbus protocols offered by Hilscher (e.g. PROFIBUS, InterBus, DeviceNet, CANopen etc.).
The driver’s function interface is fieldbus system independent and includes functions for the recognition of installed hardware, reading system information, initializing and parametrizing field bus systems, exchanging cyclical and acyclical data and reading status information, as well as time-monitoring and watchdog function.
Requirements
- CIF boards like CIF-50 PCI, Compact-PCI, PCMCIA and CIF-30/CIF-104 ISA
- Communicate with the CIF Device Driver over a TCP/IP connection, SyCon32 V2.600 or higher is needed and TCP/IP client running on the SyCon32 machine
, multiple selections available,
