How to change the value of EtherCAT CoE command for cycle time or other parameters?
A
In EtherCAT Master DTM, user is not able to directly edit or change the value of a CoE command, e.g. the cycle time. However it is possible to define a new CoE command with same index, same subindex and a new value to achieve this.
- Open EtherCAT DTM GUI, go to CoE page and select an EtherCAT slave.
In tab 'Userdef Startup', define a SDO with same index, subindex and transition flags as the CoE command which value should be changed. Define a new data(value) and write a comment, then click "Add CoE Startup Command" button. - Click tab 'Startup', the newly created CoE command is shown at the end of the list.
In SYCON.net 1.360 or previous version, user is not able to delete the old CoE command, but the new command will overwrite the value of the old one. - In SYCON.net 1.370 or later version, user is able to delete the old CoE command and shift the newly created command to the same position as the old one.
