During the configuration of an Ethernet/IP Scanner, commonly the EDS file provided together with the Ethernet/IP Adapter can be imported. In some cases, the connection parameters need to be defined manually. One of the most important parameters here, are the connection instances for Input (O → T), Output (T → O) and Configuration (CFG). These instance can be extracted from the provided EDS file. To find out all needed parameters, the Tool EZ-EDS can be used. https://www.odva.org/subscriptions-services/software/ez-eds-download/ For this: - open the EDS File, using the tool - open the required connection type. Now you can see all required connection parameters: - by clicking "Decode Path", you can also see the Path information (Class / Instance / Attribute). In this example, there is no configuration path used. Therefore, EZ-EDS shows "Ignored Path", where the Configuration Path is commonly placed. |
