Integrating a SmartWire-DT switchgear wiring system into Real-Time Ethernet
The gateway series EU5C-SWD from Hilscher is bridging between Industrial Ethernet networks such as PROFINET, EtherCAT and SEROCS and the switchgear wiring system SmartWire-DT for the control cabinet.
On Real-Time Ethernet side the converters operate as single node integrating the data of the subordinate SmartWire-DT devices module wise as I/O slices into the node's data image.
Depending on the device model, the planning and diagnostic software SWD-Assist is needed to commission the gateways.
