PCI Express / PC freezes [EN]
Background
The power management in the system settings, or also the energy management settings in BIOS, grants the authorization to deactivate certain physical services from the system.
This includes the PCI Express interfaces power supply.
When the card (PCIE slot) is switched off, it loses its firmware and configuration.
Since there is no normal boot process, including loading of the firmware / configuration, when the energy management system is switched on again, the CIFX card will not reboot.
This information can also be found in the CIFX user manual: https://hilscher.atlassian.net/wiki/display/DL/PC+Cards+CIFX+50+50E+70E+100EH
Change energy options
Energy options for PCI Express can be changed as follows:
→ Control Panel → Power Options → Change Power Saving Mode → Change Advanced Power Settings
In addition, it should be checked whether there are energy-saving options available in BIOS.
If so, these should also be deactivated.
