netLINK/TAP Proxy - PROFINET/-BUS proxy converters
Turning Profibus devices/networks into Profinet
To "proxy" per definition is the ability to integrate Profibus DP devices in Profinet networks and to negotiate in between. This secures the continued usage of existent Profibus electronic equipment still when future installations will be increasingly instrumented with Profinet technology.
Next to the mapping of cyclic process data also Profibus diagnostic messages are mapped to Profinet alarms and acyclic read/write services are routed between both protocols.
