NANL-B500G-RE is not found in different subnet
- Holger Pfrommer
My network is operating in a subnet different from 192.168.1.0, scanning the analyzer using the Ethernet device config utility or the netANALYZER software will not find any device.
Currently scanning within another subnet is not supported.
Please perform following workaround:
1. Reset the netANALYZER device IP configuration by pressing the REC button during netANALYZER bootup
2. Set the PC network interface to DHCP client (obtain IP address automatically)
3. Connect the netANALYZER to the PC network interface. Your PC should now obtain a new IP address in the 192.168.1.x range.
4. Start Ethernet device config tool and scan for the analyzer.
5. The netANALYZER should be found now,
6. In Ethernet device config tool you can now change the IP address of the analyzer to an IP address within the same subnet 195.1.77.0, for example 195.1.77.200 (or different, depending of your network setup). Ensure to turn of DHCP server aswell, see following screenshot:
7. Apply these changes
8. Change back your PC network interface IP address to the original one (here 195.1.77.137)
9. Rescan using the Ethernet device config tool, the netANALYZER should appear now in the new subnet:
