Standalone Socket Interface usage

Q

Is it possible to use the socket interface functionality in DPM channel 1 without configuration of the RTE - real time ethernet - protocol stack in DPM channel 0?

A

No, the RTE protocol in DPM channel 0 must be configured first. This is necessary to setup the underlaying TCP/IP stack, which is used by the socket interface service.

It is not possible to configure the TCP/IP stack via DPM channel 1 from the socket interface side.
